What do you look at?
When you're playing on stage, what do you look at? I've been playing live for 10 years and I still sometimes feel awkward and don't know what to look at.

i look right at people and pretend i don't see them.
Boobs.
and my fretboard and the mic and the inside of my eyelids. I feel weird making real eye contact from stage. I never know how long to look at people. Too short and you seem nervous, too long and you're creepy. Yes, I know I'm creepy anyway.
I guess I wear shades and a defense. I can look at people but they can't tell I'm looking at them. And I look cool. Like Ian Hunter. Right?
i usually look at the people in the back when i can trust my hands to do what they're supposed to do with the guitar.
Wile playing bass, I look at my hands and occasionally glance around to see if I've scared everyone away. While playing guitar, I tend to look at the crowd as a whole and then focus in on anyone who happens to be singing along or looking at me. When I play solo... I pretty much stare at my hands and don't look up till I'm done.

That's so weird jake. Usually when I play I look for you in the audience and then make kissy motions until we're done with the set. wow.
for some reason everytime we play a multi coloured orb floats in front of my face. I can not look away lest nations be wiped out by the hand of god. At the end of the set some douchebag usually says "Nice set" not knowing that I just saved his entire ancestry. Oh well...
