Those close to me know that KV is my favorite author of all time and I have his entire collection of novels plus most of his short stories.
I had tickets to go see him speak in Cleveland two years ago but did not go because of a stupid fight with my gf. I have kicked myself in the throat everyday since.
My all-time favorite quote from KV is:
"I cannot distinguish between the love I have for people and the love I have for dogs"
Vonnegut is trully one of my heros and I am now sad.
"There are plenty of good reasons for fighting," I said, "but no good reason ever to hate without reservation, to imagine that God Almighty Himself hates with you, too. Where's evil? It's that large part of every man that wants to hate without limit, that wants to hate with God on its side. It's that part of every man that finds all kinds of ugliness so attractive."
he & wesley willis must have tag teamed him.
